Privacy policy

RecallUp answers phone calls, text messages, and website chats on behalf of local businesses ("our customers"). This policy explains what we collect when you contact one of those businesses through RecallUp.

What we collect

Your phone number, what you say or type to the receptionist, call recordings or transcripts where the business has enabled them, and the time of your contact.

How it's used

To answer your question, pass your message to the business, and send you the replies you asked for. Questions are used, with names and numbers removed, to write the business's public help pages.

Text messages

When you call or text a business that uses RecallUp, you may receive text messages about your request, such as a reply to your question or an appointment confirmation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. We do not sell your phone number or share it for marketing, and mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Business owners who connect Google Calendar

If you run a business on RecallUp and connect Google Calendar, RecallUp sees when your primary calendar is busy and adds the appointments it books for your customers. It also reads the email address of the Google account so Settings can show which calendar is connected. It does not read the titles, descriptions, or attendees of your other events.

We use this access only to offer your customers open times and book the one they pick. The offered times may be sent to our AI provider to work out which time a caller chose. We store only an encrypted refresh token, never your events. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and people at RecallUp do not read it except with your permission, to investigate abuse or security issues, or as the law requires.

You can disconnect at any time in Settings > Booking, which revokes RecallUp's access with Google, or from your Google Account's third-party access page.

RecallUp's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
